Rental Car Inventory

This july update provides readers with information regarding current vintage rental car inventory at Rocket City Retro Rides. This should help customers understand which fun cars are available for rental and what upgrades/work has been done on the inventory.

July Update:

Hey there! Given all the requests for information on car status and inventory plans, we've decided to throw up some blog posts for those interested! At the time of writing this, our current inventory has just been updated to include the 1977 Firebird, 1984 Porsche 928S, and 1996 Mazda Miata.

Vehicle Status and upgrades:

  • Pontiac Firebird

    • New 650 CFM Holley Brawler Carbeurator

    • Electric Fuel Pump (To eliminate priming required by the aging mechanical pump)

    • Dashboard Replacement

    • Brake Master-Cylinder

    • Brake Booster

  • Porsche 928

    • Currently in the paintshop with an estimated return of < 1 Week!

  • Mazda MX5 (NEW!)

    • Acquired new vehicle!

    • Paintless Dent Repair

    • Replaced defective factory radio with JDM Radio Option

    • Engine Tune-Up

    • Replaced cracked dashboard

  • BMW M3 (Sale)

    • Despite our love for this car, we've come to the unfortunate decision that is just isn't right for our business at this time. It's been giving us the most problems, consuming most of our maintenance budget, and unfortunately been struggling to rent out due to its manual transmission. In terms of classic car rental, we knew the E36 would be a risky play. We had a lot of fun with it while it was around, and we know a few customers did too, but hopefully you can enjoy our next pick even more.
